About Me:
Hey, my name is Kat, and I am a fabrication artist living in Annandale, Virginia.
Over the years I have worked in various Art Department roles, on a range of productions such as low budget films, independent features, shorts, theater, and music videos.
My passion has always been for immersive arts, storytelling, artistic collaboration and hands-on craftsmanship. I am most in my element on productions that involve fantastical designs and surreal qualities.
I have an unfettered passion for learning and spend my own time taking classes and learning new ways to create props and scenery!
I created my first ever set in 2010 for a college TV production called 'The Scene'. I was a creative writing nerd at the time and didn't know how to paint or design really at all! I found myself in a nonstop flow state and even fainted from overworking myself on the last day! I've since learned to take breaks and drink plenty of water and to never stop building new worlds.
